KEN JACKSON

My goal is to make better comix every time I put the pen to the paper.”

I am available for commissioned artwork.

Ken Jackson was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He's traveled the world, getting his art education from anyone that would teach him.

Like most artists, he started out scribbling with crayons. This led him to New York, during an internship with Marvel Entertainment, Inc. where he was taken under the wing of Spanish Bomb Squad's CASH. CASH groomed Ken for Hip-Hop culture.

A thirst to hone his craft and just "make dope" took Ken through Spartan Edge magazine, as a guest cartoonist, before he would begin publishing his own work, "City Hare".

He later took a semester at College for Creative Studies (Detroit), before touring the United States, participating in art shows, and even having his own solo exhibitions.

In his travels, he has studied under many artists who would mentor him, such as Robert Scheffman, Ken Laager, Karl Gnass, Rebecca Gray, and Dennis Orlowski.

Ken has also studied sequential art at the Joe Kubert School for Cartooning and Graphic Art.

Ken currently publishes two comic book titles:

"City Hare" & "The Planet".
